We use real-time shipping quotes from our selected shipping companies to determine shipping costs. Shipping options for your purchase may vary due to destination as well as the size and weight of your selections. In rare cases, we may substitute carriers to give you the best possible service.
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations. For international orders, it is the responsibility of the recipient to obtain any necessary import permits and pay any duties.
Please also note that the shipping rates for the items we sell are weight and volume-based. In most cases, you can add an additional item or two without impacting shipping costs.
For large orders, direct signature may be required. Orders of $250 or larger must ship to the address on your credit card statement. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.
Daily Shipping from our Main Warehouse
The vast majority of our items are available from our Main Warehouse. The Main Warehouse typically processes shipments within one business day.
Our Main Warehouse is open 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday. We have daily Postal pick-ups Monday through Saturday and FedEx pick-ups Tuesday and Friday.
Occasionally, we have periods of high volume and it may not be possible to fill all orders during these time-frames. We process all orders in the order in which they were received and do everything possible to meet our shipping goals.
Shipping from our Satellite Warehouses
Some items are stored only in our satellite warehouses. These items are designated as such in the "Availability" section of each product's page. Additionally, these items have SKU's that begin with a letter. Please note that if you select a destination country to which these warehouses do not ship, we will need to ship your order to the Main Warehouse prior to packing.
East Warehouse - These wild bird supplies and wild bird gifts have SKU's that begin with GCD or SCIGCD. These items are available only in the USA. The East Warehouse ships Monday through Friday. Their turn-around time is typically 1-3 business days. Expedited shipping is usually available and will require quoting from the East Warehouse--please contact us for details.
West Warehouse - These bird-themed gift items have SKU's that begin with SWM. The West Warehouse ships Monday through Friday. The majority of these products have flat-rate shipping costs and are available only in the USA. Their turn-around time is typically 2-3 business days. Expedited shipping is also available for an additional $15, but this does not impact their turn-around time! Please contact us if you require expedited shipping of these items.
Glass Warehouse - These stained glass gift items have SKU's that begin with SCI. These items are available only in the USA. The Glass Warehouse ships Monday through Friday, typically via FedEx. Their turn-around time is usually 3-4 business days.
Cockatoo Creations is Going Green!
Yes, to help save the environment in which our beloved birds reside, Cockatoo Creations believes in reduce, reuse, and recycle! Whenever possible, we are reusing the boxes and packing materials that are shipped to us. Those that cannot be reused are recycled. All of the 'peanuts' we purchase are made with recycled materials. We encourage you to consider reusing and recycling when disposing of the packing materials you receive from us.
Inspection of Products Upon Receipt
You must examine the products when you receive them. If any item is damaged or missing, you must notify Cockatoo Creations at once. We will notify the shipper who may choose to investigate the loss or damage, so please retain all packing materials for 30 days. Our company will not consider any claim for damaged or missing items more than ten (10) business days from the shipping date.
If you need to report loss or damage, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of any replacements or refunds.
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase! In the unlikely event that you are not, we will cheerfully accept your return. Returned items must be unused, in original condition, and contained in the original packaging. Upon receipt of your item, we will refund the purchase price for that item. A 20% restocking fee may apply. Shipping costs are, of course, non-refundable.
Returns may need to be shipped to an address other than our main office. For this reason, all returns must be pre-authorized.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of shipping your item back to Cockatoo Creations, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
